Online MBA Programs at Ivy League Schools: The Russell Sage School of Business


The University of Chicago, commonly referred to as UChicago, is home to one of the largest business programs in the world.The top ranked school in the world for the number of businesses that exist with the university's alumni on the Forbes Global 2000 list, according to Business Insider, UChicago is home to both The John M. Olin School of Business, and The Harris School of Public Policy, with both schools ranking in the top ten of the world's best business schools by U.S. News & World Report.

Of the total graduate student body of approximately 3,000, 35% of students are part of the MBA program, and the enrollment is about 85% full. UChicago has an 80% renewal rate for all of its students every year, which means that a large percentage of Online MBA students are graduating from the school each year.


UChicago's MBA program is one of the largest in the world with around 1,500 students enrolled for the Fall 2018 semester. The average GMAT score for students graduating from the program is 743 with a 73% LSAT average. Graduates of the school have gone on to employment positions such as investment banking, law firms, and consulting firms.


All undergraduate students at UChicago take classes in one of the three divisions of the business school: the Booth School of Business, the Olin School of Business, and the Harris School of Public Policy. The two other division, School of Architecture and the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, are part of the university's schools of art, literature, and education, which do not have a direct MBA program.


UChicago students have access to a wide variety of resources including the Chicago Booth executive education program, which is a program for executives from the Chicago area who have earned their MBA, and students who are new to the world of business. The executive education program offers a fully interactive program where students are placed in senior-level business roles with access to offices and partners of the organization.

The school offers several pre-MBA programs for students interested in working for business in their prior field of study, such as an Executive MBA in Healthcare Administration and Business Administration, Executive MBA in Sustainable Environment Management, Executive MBA in Professional Sports Management, and an Executive MBA in Media, Entertainment, and Sports Management.
